Energyballs mit Kokos und Guarana | Energy balls with coconut or guarana

Donnerstag, der 16. Juni 2016

1/2 Tasse getrocknete aktivierte Mandeln

Guten Flug!

Energy balls with coconut or guarana

I know there a tons of recipes for energy balls out there. And theoretically you can’t even go wrong: Put your favourite ingredients into a food processor and it will probably already taste amazing.

However, I still want to share this recipe with you. The balls have become a staple in our kitchen, because they are super easy to make and loved by tall and small. With the tall ones even more so if you top the finished balls with guarana instead of desiccated coconut. They will make you fly through your afternoon energy slump… !

For about 25 balls you’ll need:

1/2 cup dried activated almonds
1/2 cup pitted dates (I prefer the fresh ones here too)
1 Tbsp. raw cacao
1 Tbsp. Chia seeds
1 Tbsp. raw coconut oil
1 Tbsp. almond butter
1 Tsp. cacao nibs
1 Tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 Tsp. Maca

toppings:

Desiccated coconut or guarana

At first, place almonds in your food processor and pulse briefly. Then add remaining ingredients (except for cacao nibs) and mix until you have a smooth and even dough. Add the cacao nibs, mix with your hands and turn everything into little balls.

Now, you can eat them right away, or sprinkle them with desiccated coconut and you’ll have something for the whole family.

Or, you only want to make the parents happy. In that case you can add a dash of guaranal: just put a tiny bit on each ball and rub in with your hands.

Have a good flight!
